April Recap: Summer Classes, Puthandu Celebrations and Going Viral!

As we step into May, I wanted to take a moment to look back at everything that happened at Shree Jai Arts this past April.

If I had to describe this month in one word, it would be community. From local pop-ups to classes, April was completely dedicated to sharing our beautiful artworks with all of you.

Here is a look back at our favorite moments from the month:

1. Creating Together at Our Summer Classes ☀️

There is nothing quite like the energy of kids gathering around a table to learn a traditional art form. Our summer classes were in full swing this month, and watching the little ones focus on the details and create their own masterpieces was incredibly inspiring.

2. Our First-Ever Crochet Class 🧶

This month, we collaborated with Sudha and hosted our very first crochet class in Karur. We absolutely loved seeing people eager to learn different forms of art and step into a new creative space. We are so incredibly glad Sudha made this beautiful craft accessible to our students in Karur!

3. Inviting Tamil Kadavul Home for the New Year 🌿

To celebrate Puthandu (Tamil New Year), we ran a special offer on our Thanjavur paintings. My heart was so full seeing how many of you chose to bring Tamil Kadavul into your living spaces and Pooja rooms.

4. Meeting You at the Tamil New Year Stall 🤎

Online connections are wonderful but nothing beats seeing you in person! We loved chatting with you, seeing your unfiltered reactions to the art up close and talking about our shared heritage. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello!

5. A Viral Moment for Traditional Art ✨

We also had a post go viral this month! In a world of fast trends, seeing so many people stop scrolling to appreciate traditional Indian art gives me so much hope.

Looking Ahead to May...

April set the bar incredibly high but we have so much more planned for you, including our upcoming Kolam Manai workshop on May 09 in Sydney!

Thank you for constantly supporting us and helping us keep our heritage thriving. Let’s make May just as beautiful.
